About Us

Welcome to WIP
A Walk in the Park

WIP (A Walk in the Park) is a non-profit movement dedicated to making health, mindfulness, and self-discovery accessible to everyone. We believe that well-being should never be a luxury — it is a human right.

Founded in Maspalomas by Lilly Rikhter, WIP began with free outdoor sessions that brought together people of all ages and backgrounds to move, breathe, and reconnect. What started as a simple act of service has grown into a living community of teachers, artists, therapists, and seekers — united by a shared purpose: to make inner balance a way of life.

In 2025, WIP opened the WIP Meditation Center, a sacred and contemporary space where yoga, meditation, and holistic practices meet. All income from the Center supports the non-profit association, helping sustain free outdoor programs and new community projects across the Canary Islands.

We are not religious or political. We are a movement of consciousness, built on compassion, inclusion, and the bridge between ancient wisdom and modern life. From the parks to the meditation hall, WIP continues to grow — one breath, one community, one act of presence at a time.

About Us

Welcome to WIP
A Walk in the Park

This is a space for everyone:
• those seeking emotional and spiritual growth
• those in need of healing, grounding, or peace
• those who wish to belong to a conscious community that values love, service, and shared wisdom

Here, your presence matters. Your voice is heard. Your light is welcome.

In a world overflowing with noise and distraction, WIP stands for calm minds, open hearts, and meaningful connection. We spread art, peace, service, and awareness — creating bridges between ancient wisdom and modern life.

WIP is not just a project. It is a living movement — a prayer in action. From free community gatherings in the parks to the sacred stillness of the WIP Meditation Center, we walk together toward a more conscious world.

Come walk with us. Come build a new world.
