Introduction

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all activities, events, products, and services offered by the Asociación Cultural y Deportiva WIP – Walk In The Park, with registered office at EuroCenter, Avenida de Moya, 6, 35100 San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Las Palmas, Spain, registered under NIF G75921353 (Canary Islands Registration Number: 23909 – G1/S1/23909-18/GC).

WIP, hereinafter referred to as “the Association”, organizes free wellness and sports activities, and may occasionally offer special events (workshops, retreats, training sessions), as well as a store and a donation system to support its mission.

Acceptance of Terms

By participating in our activities, registering for our events, making a donation, or purchasing a support product, you acknowledge that you have read and unreservedly accepted these General Terms and Conditions. Participation or purchase validation implies full acceptance of these conditions.

Purpose

These Terms and Conditions define the terms under which the WIP Association organizes its activities, offers its events, and provides complementary products or services.

They may be supplemented, where applicable, by specific terms relating to a particular event (workshop, retreat, course, etc.), which shall prevail in case of contradiction with these general terms.

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all activities organized by WIP, including but not limited to weekly sessions, trainings, workshops, retreats, and events in the Canary Islands and abroad. Participation implies full acceptance thereof.

2. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

Participation in WIP activities is strictly voluntary. Each participant assumes full responsibility for their physical condition, actions, and well-being.

WIP, its trainers, volunteers, and collaborators disclaim any liability for accidents, injuries, health complications, or damages that may occur during or as a result of participation.

Participants are strongly advised to consult a physician before beginning any physical activity. By attending, the participant expressly waives any claim against WIP in relation to incidents arising from the activities.

3. Minors

The participation of minors is strictly regulated:

• Minors under 18 may only attend if accompanied at all times by a parent or legal guardian.

• Written authorization from the legal guardian may be required.

• WIP reserves the right to deny participation to any minor who does not meet these conditions.

This rule is established in compliance with Spanish law and the applicable regional regulations in the Canary Islands.

4. Conduct and Respect

Participants must:

• Follow the trainers’ instructions at all times.

• Maintain respectful behavior toward trainers, volunteers, other participants, and public spaces.

• Refrain from any disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate conduct.

WIP reserves the right to exclude, without refund or compensation, any participant whose behavior violates these rules.

5. Special Events, Courses, and Retreats

These Terms and Conditions constitute the general framework applicable to all WIP activities. For specific events (retreats, workshops, paid courses, or other special programs), additional terms may apply. Such terms will be communicated in advance to participants and shall prevail over these general terms in case of conflict.

6. Donations and Voluntary Contributions

Regular activities are free of charge. However, participants may support WIP through voluntary donations or the purchase of merchandising products. Such contributions are voluntary and non-refundable.

7. Photos, Videos, and Use of Audiovisual Material

WIP systematically takes photos and videos during its activities (including group sessions, events, and retreats). Participation in the activities implies consent to appear in such recordings.

These materials are essential to:

• Document the existence and utility of the program for public authorities and sponsors.

• Demonstrate the social, cultural, and health impact of WIP’s mission.

• Promote WIP’s activities through communication channels (website, social media, press, and institutional reports).

By attending, participants agree that their image may be captured and used for the purposes described.

Participation in group photos and videos is mandatory as a condition for joining WIP activities.

WIP undertakes to process all media in compliance with Spanish and European data protection laws (including GDPR). Details about storage, retention, and participants’ rights are set out in the Privacy Policy, which complements these Terms and Conditions.

8. Amendments

WIP reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version in force on the date of participation shall apply. Updated versions will be made available through WIP’s official channels.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Spanish law and the applicable regulations in the Canary Islands. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
